Joey Johansson is a multi-talented patternmaker who has created patterns for some of the most popular designers of our time.

Joey graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Stout where she received a Bachelor of Science degree with a minor in business. She majored in clothing, textiles and design, as well as merchandising.

Shortly after graduating, Joey moved to Minneapolis and opened her own signature clothing store, where she designed and sold her own collection. She worked for various companies at the beginning of her NYC career, but was soon hired as a patternmaker, by world renowned designer Betsey Johnson. Joey became an integral part of Betsey Johnson, working on both first patterns and production. After working there for 8 years, Joey was recruited to become Head Patternmaker at Heatherette.

Joey has since left Heatherette and has now come full circle. Utilizing her business savvy and her patternmaking experience, she has opened up her own patternmaking/sample service, Joeyspatterns.com. Joey's quick turnaround, kind nature and ease at interpreting sketch to pattern, has made her a favorite in the design community.
